The name Old Road Farm comes from the fact that Gibbins Road used to run through the property, and still remains as a trail through the woods. When we were kids we picked lots of trailing blackberries on the dry gravelly soil. It also served as a great alibi for mysterious and suspicious objects brought home – they had simply been “found on the old road”! Various car accidents also occurred on the old road by “student drivers” – however none by me 🙂
PS A free box of apples to whoever can guess where the location of my banner photo is !! It’s not our farm but it’s on the west coast.
Vancouver Island
No, it’s not Vancouver Island, but it’s on the west coast of North America
Queen Charlottes? Wherever it is I’d like to go there. Can just smell those salty grasses and feel that breeze…
I was hoping for a more specific location, instead of, like, Queen Charlotte Islands, or BC, or Canada 🙂 . Any other ideas?
